Here we go-Baja Flyfishing 2011 Schedule
In case you didn't notice- my trip dates for 2011 are up on my front page- I am very much looking forward to another great season with a fantastic
group of regulars-and making new friends. We had an incredible spring/summer-especially for that holy grail of the Papa Gallo.
I'm always asked about when is the best time to come. Every year is always different, but generally speaking:
May /June trips : Roosters of the larger size, larger jack crevalle, pampano, barrolette (black skipjack), pacific bonito, amberjack yellowtail
(sometimes) and some dorado. Cooler temps in water and air. Wahoo and milkfish if you dare.
June /July:More and large dorado, sometimes football tuna, billfish showing up, red snapper, roosters, barrolette, jacks in lesser numbers. Warmer air
and water.
Sept/October: Barrolette, Yellowfin tuna in larger sizes, dorado (not a lot of larger), billfish, fewer large roosters and jacks. Warmer water and
air.
Conclusion: You can't lose and life is very, very short.
