Dollar for dollar, minute for minute, there’s no greater value or opportunity for explosive saltwater
flyfishing excitement than Gary Bulla’s Saltwater Flyfishing Adventures in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
Great thrills, terrific camaraderie, wonderful food and accommodations (with A/C!). I’d never fish for
dorado, tuna, roosterfish, etc. with anyone else

I hesitate to recommend this trip because I’m afraid it might start a stampede of regrettable
consequence. But if you must, get ready to have the time of your life. Tell Gary and Joe hello for me.
You lucky people!

IT ROX…and I mean that. Been all over, if you are a serious angler, don’t miss this unless you don’t like
fun.

This is the most fun six days I’ve had since my honeymoon. And my honeymoon
was awesome.

A week with Gary Bulla tangling with buttkicking Baja fish will change your life. The good news is that's
it's almost all legal and the repercussions last only as long as you live.

Gary's trips are the best bang for the buck in the industry. Nobody is even close. Where can you get SIX days of fishing, lodging, meals and beer for about 2 grand. The location is really nice with the drive to the beach so short you can barely set your Iphone up for tunes before you have to pile out on the beach. Great variety of fish. What most people don't understand is that the really outstanding fishing is dependent on throwing a lot of chum. Gary has his own bait boat that does nothing but make bait and constantly fill up the panagas. When we were targeting tuna it required alot of bait. The capatains were throwing 3-4 sardinas at a time constantly. They must have thrown a dozen scoops of bait during the day. That's about the same amount of bait that a big 1/2 day or 3/4 day boat with 30 anglers uses off San Diego. If your planning on a trip down to Baja be sure to look into these important details if you want a shot at the once in a lifetime rooster. Just my 2 cents.

I don't think we have to tell people about how good Gary's trips are. We have enough problems with Gary without his head getting big.... No worries- one of Gary's qualities is that it doesn't. I much rather fish with the people capable of figuring out that they are a good deal.
Are you a Ranchero? If you don't catch fish you eat spaghetti, there are cockroaches in the bathroom, and you better not be a whiner at the end of the trip; but in the end it's fun and nobody but Gary can deliver on that like he does. You learn to laugh a little more, stand respectively a little closer to edge of chaos, and yes, get to see that 3 inch eyeball* staring down on your fly motionless as you strip as fast as you can. No once in a lifetime fish but a lifetime of fish with 3 inch eyeballs.

*this is not a guarantee nor does it imply that you will see a fish with a 3 inch eyeball on a Fly Fishing Adventure trip and it should be construed as an exaggeration as such in order to convey the possibility of seeing a larger than normal fish about to inhale your fly in the misconception that is another tasty sardina that has been copiously thrown their way.
Gary,
Thank you so much for a trip of a life time. Your guidance was the best. It's next fall for me if you are going on the two island trip again. Please put me on the list ..

"....thank you again for putting together a wonderful trip. It was truly a great experience. I'd love to (and need to!) to do it again."

Gary,
I just want to say thanks for providing such a WONDERFUL resource for learning about this great sport. For not knowing ANYTHING a week ago, your web page and discussion board really provided me a wonderful education. Now, I need to use it to go get some fish!
Got the flies! They look great!
Cheers,
Bill Baker
Gary,
Thanks so much for yesterday (in your Surf Clinic). You really helped me clear up some questions, so that I will now be fishing with greater confidence, and the many tricks of the trade you showed me, and safety tips, will no doubt prove invaluable.
Highlights of the day were my biggest surfperch to date, that one you "called" when you told me to change up and work the trough. I know I will refer to (that day) over and over again as I build my game.
