I fished with Boyd Pfeiffer when he was developing this fly on a small bass
pond. He was slaying the fish! I decided to test this fly in the mangroves too.
It works like a charm and it is weedless! The fly lays flat on the water with
it's one eye down and is the perfect wounded, flopping baitfish fly. It looks
like a shad for fresh water and like a flat-iron herring or sardina for the
salt. It turns out dorado love it too. I am offering this in sizes 2 and
4. The fly is made with saddle tied on at the bend after the weedless mono is
attached. Then , cut to shape two pieces of foam and "sandwich" them with glue
on the bass stinger hook. Add eye, mark a gill and coat the head with epoxy.
